We made it!  Thank you for going on this journey with us… we are so blessed to have you in our lives and are thankful for your love and friendship.  Cheers to our next adventure!

Sometimes you have an a-ha moment where you just know something, whatever that something is.  Well Naydia had one of those moments with LORENA.  When Naydia and Lorena were younger, they watched on as their moms helped Lorena’s grandmother get into the car.  That moment served as an important reminder of life things as well as offered a glimpse into their future – how they will always be there to help take care of each other and each other’s families.

Lorena is Naydia’s BFF, her soul sister.  They’ve been friends since before Naydia was born (no joke, Lorena was at the baby shower).  Lorena offers strength, guidance, patience, and unconditional love and tolerance.  She is Naydia’s “person” (Grey’s Anatomy) and, of course, the maid of honor. NCV FACT: Lorena was there at Umami when Christian asked for Naydia’s number. She is part of their “Thai Club.”

pjan

Pretty much everything Naydia’s ever done in her career and education was because of P’JAN.  From her “award-winning” 6th grade DARE essay about her athletic Long Beach Poly basketball-captain older sister to running for class president… from going to USC to starting her career at Deloitte, the steps Naydia took were because of the strides her sister made and the path she paved.

connie

CONNIE and Naydia met in grad school.  Together they endured wacko professors, creepily approaching strangers for their graduate thesis, and eventually moving to Northern CA.  Connie keeps it real, is a great sounding board for all topics serious and totally un-serious, and encourages people to just do their thing.  She is a great happy hour, boba, SF, shopping-buddy and knows how to drive really well under extreme distress (i.e. when Naydia needs to use the bathroom ASAP).

lisa

LISA ANNE and Naydia used to run around high school pretending to be twins, even taking photos at Sears together in the same outfits!  To this day, they still sometimes where the exact same outfit without planning.  Naydia believes they are meant to be because sometimes time passes them by and they don’t get to see each other for awhile, but they always find their way back to each other.  From the silly days at Troy High School to now Bikram Yoga Mondays in Mountain View, Lisa Anne is and has always been someone Naydia could be herself around and simply have an awesomeous time! 🙂

bond

Bond and Christian first met on the basketball courts at UCSB.  After a random scrimmage at the rec cen, little did they know they would eventually become fraternity brothers, roommates, DJ partners, and business partners (YourSash.com). Through the 12+ years of brotherhood and friendship, they’ve shared dozens of plates of pad see ew and trips to Urth Cafe (bomb Iced Spanish Lattes!) and embroidered thousands of sashes.  NCV FACT: Bond was there when Naydia and Christian met at Umami.  He is part of their “Thai Club.”

khoa
3218 wouldn’t be the same without KHOA! While they met through UVSA, their paths didn’t truly cross until they became housemates during Khoa’s time at Mattel.  Little did they know, they’d be more than just housemates as both applied to B-school at UCLA and got in.  From identical class schedules, to carpooling, the infamous GAP thesis project, and career changes, they’ve been through a lot together.  NCV FACT: Khoa actually worked with Naydia back in their Deloitte days, way before Christian laid eyes on her.  This made for an awkward second date when Khoa walked in to see Naydia sitting on his couch…

alexALEX “THE LEGEND” TSHERING – a big brother, and older brother, however you want to call it. Work and career has brought Alex to to many different parts of this globe, but he’s always been there for Christian within a call, text or FB message.  Alex is also the inventor of the infamous otterpop vodkas at the Loft.  Alex is a selfless guy, and it’s evident in how well he treats his family and friends.  He invited Naydia to have dinner at his parents’ house and he lived up to it.  Naydia is still curious when we can stop by to make momos at your parents’ house again. NCV FACT: Alex was also there at Umami that one fateful night. Christian asked him for advice of when he should call her…

joe

JOE is the other original 3218 housemate (Khoa, Joe & Christian).  They originally met during their VSA and fraternity days at UCSB, but the friendship and brotherhood grew from there.  From running their first 1/2 marathon together to becoming co-workers at Wpromote, and housemates at 3218.  Joe’s always been one to bounce start-up ideas around with and have a smile on his face. Except for that one time he ate that entire bag of almonds and was in pain. On a side note: Did you ever hear about the custom dress pants company they tried to start? Sharks, we are seeking $1MM for 30% of our company.  And from Naydia: Joe has a wonderfully warm heart of gold.  He was a volunteer “shark” when Naydia’s middle school students pitched their bracelet companies for funding. 🙂

Mani

Zetas, SoCo Sundays and weekends just wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for MANI. Dubbed one of the luckiest guys ever for his luck in poker, Mani is also one of the most down to earth guys you’ll ever meet. Christian will still never forget that time Mani fell from the second floor balcony at the Zeta house and walked away without a scratch. Always down to kick it, and always a true friend and brother.

We arePANNE so grateful that P’ANNE has agreed to officiate our wedding! P’Anne (who’s like Naydia’s cousin, sister from another mister, you get the idea) has and always will be more than our officiant though.  Throughout Naydia’s life, P’Anne has been an encouraging mentor and inspirational role model.  She gave Naydia tips and tricks of event planning back in high school and was among the first people to encourage Naydia to take that leap and start a wedding planning business.  She’s an inspiration herself – P’Anne can take on any task, job, role, etc., make it the most amazing thing ever, and succeed ten-fold.  Her energy is infectious, her heart is made of gold, and we can’t thank her enough for guiding us into the next chapter of our lives.

O U R   U S H E R S

Usher is codeword for bridesmen, and we are so very happy to have these gentlemen join the wedding party!  🙂 Andrew, Richard, and Ji have been there for all the ups and downs in Naydia’s life… from the time she was a freshman in high school (enter Dru) through undergrad (enter Richard) and onward (enter Ji).  Naydia is so very thankful for their friendship – their patience, understanding, and ability to look beyond the crazy and into the root of it all.

dru

DRU. Naydia and Dru have been on some crazy adventures around the world – NY to Spain to Korea – and we couldn’t imagine not having him there with us.  Dru always helps put a smile on Naydia’s face and reminds her of the big picture, a nice reality check. Naydia’s best guess is that one of his fondest memories of us was… whatever she said to him one night in Old Town Orange. 😉richard

RICHARD. From studying for the GMATs at Chaya to happy hour at Claim Jumpers after crazy days at work to literally babysitting Naydia when her parents are out of town and she’s too scared to stay home alone… from the worst to the best days of Naydia’s life, Richard’s there.  He (gently) kicks sense into Naydia when her head’s floating and she’s uberly stubborn, has the warmest heart (and smile) anyone can find, and we love him!

ji

JI. Ji and Naydia have been friends for only a few years yet life’s taken them on so many rando adventures. The good (being classy eating Nestle cookies and McDonalds in Vegas), the bad (let’s not talk about those), and the ugly (moving to Nor for 5 pm metabolic class and free kombucha).  Next up: lose 15 lbs in order to regain 20!
